T. Gozney Thornton Rings in the New Year!

Looking forward to 2012

We ended the year 2011 on a high note by doing what we do best and that is playing music for our friends at a New Year’s Eve Dance.  The venue was packed and the dance floor was always busy.  That’s what we like to see.  We counted down the seconds to the new year and then sang Auld Lang Syne to mark the transition from one year to the next.

There were plenty of our Tex-Mex Fandango cruise members in attendance at the dance and I spent a lot of time during the breaks visiting with old friends.  That is just part of what makes it so enjoyable for The Old Hat Band to play our music both in this area and around the state.  We have made so many friends all over Texas that wherever we go, we get to renew friendships.  Now that New Year’s Eve has come and gone, we will be getting ready for the Tex Mex Fandango & Blues Cruise IV which leaves Galveston on January 29, 2012.
